Your monthly membership includes access to resources, such as shooting tips and editing tutorials. Each month, there’s a project idea or focus, with plenty of inspiration. These project ideas have been proven effective in previous courses and are aimed at helping you tell your unique stories. I’m also open to suggestions from the community regarding topics they would like to explore and learn.
The main goal is to help you create videos consistently, so you’ll have a collection of videos to enjoy for years to come.
There’s support and encouragement throughout, with a monthly live online gatherings, to discuss projects, ask questions about creating videos. You can even opt for one-on-one sessions for extra assistance (additional fee applies). The membership can be tailored to the interests and needs of our participants. You’re welcome to create at your own pace!
The membership is available to join at anytime and will continue on a month-to-month basis if there is interest and value for everyone involved.

To set aside some time to shoot and edit your videos. How much time is up to you, it will depend on how many videos you’d like to make. You’re welcome to create your videos at your own pace.
Any camera can be used. If you’re not that familiar with it, you’ll need time practice and play, as I won’t be covering all technical aspects of specific cameras. There will be tips and guidance on how and what to shoot. Please feel free to use your favourite camera, whether it’s a DSLR, compact camera or mobile device or a combination.
A computer or phone to edit on. You will get a great introduction to editing, enabling you to get started and complete each video. You’ll be shown the basics to use the desktop version of CapCut (Mac and PC) - which is available for free. Plus, apps for editing on a phone. You’re welcome to use your favourite editing program if you prefer.
Access to the internet to view the content. The materials will be shared here on this online learning site. Our community will be sharing their videos within the community space and can share on Instagram and TikTok if they like. Members can ask questions with the online space, via email or during the Live meet up on Zoom.
ADDITIONAL EXTRA – Music for your videos could be an extra expense. I will share places to source music for free, but it’s worth considering purchasing a subscription to a copyright free music library for ease with finding music. Or if you’re just loading to Instagram and TikTok, you can use the music there.
and lastly, but probably most importantly… a commitment to play, experiment and MAKE VIDEOS!
I hope to create a space with guidance, support, encouragement and inspiration to create all sorts of videos. With a focus on making videos just for you, to tell your stories. By having a monthly project, you can work at your own pace. I will offer inspiration, motivation, and behind-the-scenes of how I create my videos.
I’m also looking forward to tailoring the membership to the interests and needs of the participants.
If you’ve already taken courses with me, you will know a lot of the shooting and editing information, so only join if you’d like to build on the skills you’ve already learnt. Or if you’re looking for monthly motivation to continue making videos or get back into the flow if you’ve had a break from creating.

Yes, this membership is for all levels. From just starting out with video… to those who have more experience and would like a creative boost to make more videos.
It can be really good to have a challenge and focus, to stay inspired. It’s amazing how you can really improve your skills by committing to creating regularly. How many videos you create per each month is up to you. There’s a suggestion of one video for each project but you can work at your own pace. Obviously the more involved you are, and the more you create, the better the experience will be.
Absolutely! Simple and brilliant videos can be created with these devices.
I will be sharing tips on how I shoot with the cameras I have – DSLR and iPhone. There will be enough for you to get started and have an understanding of the settings needed but there won’t be guidance for specific models of cameras. There will be plenty of encouragement to play and experiment with your camera, however the focus isn’t technical. There are plenty of technical tutorials available online, should you require it.

Everyone works at different paces and in different timezones, so there's no set time to be in the online space to view the course materials or submit your videos. All the initial materials are available once the membership begins, for you to work through at your own pace. There’s a suggested schedule for video creation, and the community will be encouraged to share their videos within the course space and on Instagram and TikTok if desired. The only set scheduled event is the Live monthly Q&A check in which will be recorded.
You are absolutely able to take part and not share any of your work online. You’re welcome to view other members work, to get inspired and to ask questions, with no pressure to share.
You can share videos within the course space and on Instagram and TikTok if you like. Many participants create a new accounts just to share their videos, if they don’t want to share their videos on their main account.
Life is busy, with work and life commitments. I know this. But I know when I make pockets of time to do creative projects, the rewards are HUGE! A lot of these videos can be tackled in a small amount of time. How much time you put in is up to you. It’s always worth it!

The idea of the membership is to have a monthly project idea or focus, with plenty of inspiration and access to me for encouragement and support. And to be part of a community all sharing together.
With the advice, tips and encouragement from Xanthe, I’ve learnt to make videos of my every day. It was so much fun - there’s something about a deadline, letting go of imperfections and learning as you go! I’m definitely inspired to create more and I’ve learnt that I’m not too busy to do this, and with very little equipment too, just the mobile phone.
