If you’ve ever wanted to make videos of your life but struggled with what to film, this is for you. MAKE VIDEOS: 10 Projects to Tell Your Everyday Stories is a collection of creative prompts that guide you to capture all kinds of moments - the big adventures, the small routines, and everything in between. With ten different projects to explore, you’ll always have a spark of inspiration and a new way to tell your story.
I believe now, more than ever, it’s important to make our own videos. In a world filled with polished, curated, and even AI-generated content, what stands out is the real stuff. The human stuff. The everyday beauty of life as it actually is.
These projects are my way of helping you notice and celebrate that. To look at your world with fresh eyes, to tell stories that matter to you and to build a library of videos you’ll treasure for years to come.

10 Inspiring Projects → From short, playful films to bigger memory-keeping pieces, you’ll discover a range of approaches for documenting life on video. The prompts are designed to encourage everyday storytelling, while leaving plenty of space for your creativity to shine.
Shoot with Any Camera → Whether you’re using a DSLR, compact camera, or your phone, you’ll find guidance on how and what to capture. It’s about noticing moments, not having the “perfect” gear.
Editing Guidance → Learn how to bring your clips together into a finished video. I’ll show you the basics of CapCut (free for Mac and PC), plus apps you can use on your phone. You’re welcome to use your own favourite editing software if you prefer.
Instant Access → All the projects, tutorials, and resources are waiting for you inside the course. No deadlines, no schedule - just dive in whenever you’re ready.
ADDITIONAL EXTRA – Music for your videos could be an extra expense. I will share places to source music for free, but it’s worth considering purchasing a subscription to a copyright free music library for ease with finding music. Or if you’re just loading to Instagram and TikTok, you can use the music there.
Through these 10 projects, you’ll make a wide variety of videos - from everyday vignettes that capture small, fleeting moments, to longer pieces that document a week or a month in your life. You’ll experiment with creative approaches like mood-driven edits, playful collections of details and video portraits that shine a light on the people and places you love. Some projects focus on home and daily routines, others encourage you to capture adventures and time away. Together, they give you a rich set of ways to tell your stories, so each video feels fresh and uniquely yours.
If you’ve already taken courses with me, you will know a lot of the shooting & editing information and the project ideas. So only join if you’d like to build on the skills you’ve already learnt and if you'd like to shoot the projects again. Or if you’re looking for motivation to continue making videos or get back into the flow if you’ve had a break from creating.
Yes, these projects for all levels. From just starting out with video… to those who have more experience and would like a creative boost to make more videos.
It can be really good to have a challenge and focus, to stay inspired. It’s amazing how you can really improve your skills by committing to creating regularly. How many videos you create for each project is up to you. There’s a suggestion of one video for each project but you can work at your own pace. Obviously the more involved you are, and the more you create, the better the experience will be.
Absolutely! Simple and brilliant videos can be created with these devices.
I will be sharing tips on how I shoot with the cameras I have - DSLR and iPhone. There will be enough for you to get started and have an understanding of the settings needed but there won’t be guidance for specific models of cameras. There will be plenty of encouragement to play and experiment with your camera, however the focus isn’t technical. There are plenty of technical tutorials available online, should you require it.
THIS IS A SELF-PACED COURSE. So there's no set time to be in the online space to view the course materials or submit your videos. All the materials are available when you register, for you to work through at your own pace.
You are absolutely able to take part and not share any of your work online. You’re welcome to get inspired and to ask questions, with no pressure to share.
Life is busy, with work and life commitments. I know this. But I know when I make pockets of time to do creative projects, the rewards are HUGE! A lot of these videos can be tackled in a small amount of time. How much time you put in is up to you. It’s always worth it!
The course includes access to resources, such as shooting tips and editing tutorials, which will be the same as previous MAKE VIDEOS online offerings (although it's continually updated) and there will be the projects from previous year long courses. I believe each project/prompt has scope to create multiple videos, so there’s no end to the videos you can make, even if you've taken the course before!
